Molecular cloning, isolation and characterization of genes and promoters from diverse germplasm, expression analysis, deploying them in developing transgenic crop plants tolerant to biotic and abiotic stresses.

Comparative genomics and bioinformatics tools based genome-wide comparative analysis among different plant species.
